There are two really good links under the Bidding or Buying section of our forum that describes the typical process of a transaction taking place. For your convenience some links are located below.

Completing A Transaction
How to pay for the product, shipping, etc

In Short Summary, typically a transaction takes place like this:
1.) Buyer pays seller
2.) Seller initiates transfer, Buyer completes transfer
3.) CFC clears transfer, Seller mails item to Buyer

Please note however, that these procedures are not necessarily rules or policies set out by GunAddicts.com. When dealing with many private sales in general, the seller solicits items they have for sale and the buyer if he is in fact interested and committed to making the purchase, usually would make the full payment up front, then allow the seller to ship or courier the item. In the case of firearms however, the transfer must take place first in accordance with the law, before the seller can ship the item.

Thank You,
