Replica firearms

Postby SupportTeam » Fri Sep 04, 2009 2:27 pm

Replica firearms are considered prohibited in Canada, unless they resemble an 'antique firearm'.

Under the current Firearms Act and Criminal Code, "As an individual, you may keep any replicas that you owned on December 1, 1998. You do not need a licence to possess a replica firearm and it does not have to be registered. However, you cannot acquire, make or import a replica firearm. If you take a replica firearm out of Canada, you cannot bring it back in."

Additionally the Firearms Act and Criminal Code says:

"You cannot sell or give a replica firearm to an individual or to an unlicensed business."

Since there is a lot of confusion around replicas, and lack of knowledge around ownership, buying and selling, the listing of "replicas" on our website is not permitted at this time.

For more information on replicas please contact the CFC (Canadian Firearms Center) at 1-800-731-4000 for more information or visit their website at

Sorry for any inconvenience.
