While we allow U.S. residents to create accounts on the GunAddicts.com website, at this time the site is only open for sales in Canada. There may be eventual plans to expand into the rest of North America in the future, for now however we remain focused on our goal of becoming the single largest listing service of firearms in Canada.
As for exporting firearms from the U.S. to Canada, you would need to contact a FLL dealer in the U.S. who has an export license and can faciliate the export for you, out or your country and into Canada. They will arrange the paperwork and can advise you of the fees associated with exporting to Canada. Be sure to include this information to potential buyers through your listing details so it is no surprise to anyone.
Up until recently however, the US DDTC (Directorate of Defense Trade Controls) has introduced a new fee schedule practically eliminating low transactional fees for small players. This in turn is forcing FLL dealers in the U.S. to abandon their export license when it comes up for renewal. Current fees associated with exporting firearms to Canada is approximately C$200 on average per firearm, plus applicable Canadian taxes, shipping charges and dealer fees on both sides of the border. Because of the new laws, this amount will now increase drastically by at least double or triple for FLL dealers who renew their export license.
